The Bucks County Planning Commission has announced the Household Hazardous Waste Collection dates and locations for 2022.
For the collection events, each household can bring up to 25 gallons (or 220 pounds) of hazardous products, which have cautionary words on the label like Danger, Warning, Caution, Poisonous, Combustible, Corrosive, etc.
Items eligible for this event include Pesticides, Flammable liquids, Household cleaners, Toxic Chemicals, Gasoline and Oil, Fire Extinguishers, Lead Batteries, NiHM and Lithium Batteries, Oil-based Paint, Mini-Propane tanks (2lb or less), compact flourescent light bulbs (CFLs).
NOT ELIGIBLE products include electronics, latex paint1Remove the lid of latex paint and allow it to air dry. An absorbent agent, like cat litter, can be used to speed the drying process. Once dry, latex paint can be discarded with regular household waste., appliances, asbestos, explosives and ammunition, propane tanks and gas cylinders, medical waste and drugs, PCBs and CFCs, radioactive waste, tires and unknown materials.
This is not an electronics collection event.
