Daikin Comfort Technologies (formerly Goodman Manufacturing) is recalling plastic drain pans located at the bottom of the evaporator coil, due to fire hazard. The recalled products were manufactured between January 2019 and February 2020, incorrectly marked with a 2018 serial number.
This product was sold by independent heating and cooling dealers direct through November 2021. The units may have been bundled with coil, furnace and ancillary parts.
Consumers should contact Daikin/Goodman to determine whether their unit is included in the recall and arrange free repair. More information can be found on the CPSC Website.
