USI Smoke & CO Detector Recall

Universal Security Instruments (USI Electric) is recalling combination photoelectric smoke and carbon monoxide detectors due to a rick of failing to alert to hazardous levels of carbon monoxide (CO). Failure to alert poses a risk of CO poisoning or death.

Two models are included in this recall – MPC322S (battery) and MPC122S (wired). As of the CPSC recall notice published March 31, 2022, the only units being considered as part of this recall are those with manufacture date 2017JUN02 or 2017JUN09.
